What Make.com is and why people are talking about it
Make.com is a visual no-code platform for process automation. It lets you connect different applications and services so that they automatically pass data between each other and trigger actions — without having to write code.
Imagine a new order comes in through Shoptet. Make.com automatically adds the customer to Mailchimp, creates a card in the CRM, sends a Slack notification to your warehouse and writes the order into Google Sheets. All without any clicking, all immediately.

Make.com vs. Zapier: Which tool to choose
The most common question when choosing an automation tool. The short answer: Make.com offers significantly more flexibility at a lower price, but it has a steeper learning curve.
Zapier is simpler — a linear flow of the “if X, do Y.” type. Make.com allows branched scenarios, loops, conditions, data transformation and complex logic that in Zapier would either not be possible, or would cost you several times more.
For simple integrations both tools are comparable. For more complex business processes Make.com wins clearly.
The basic terms you need to know
Scenario — the basic building block in Make.com. One scenario = one automation. It can be started automatically (for example by an incoming e-mail or a new order) or manually.
Module — every action or trigger in a scenario. A module can read data (for example a new row in Google Sheets), transform it (filters, conditions) or perform actions (send an e-mail, create a CRM record).
Operation — every run of a module = one operation. Make.com charges by the number of operations per month, not by the number of scenarios.
Webhook — a way of receiving data in real time. Instead of Make.com regularly checking whether something has changed, the application itself notifies it as soon as the event occurs.
The first 5 scenarios you should build
1. New order → team notification
Trigger: A new order in the e-shop. Action: Sending a Slack or Teams message with the order details. Setup time: 15 minutes. Immediate saving: you stop checking e-mail because of every single order.
2. Completed form → CRM record
Trigger: Submission of the contact form on the website. Action: Creating a lead in the CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Notion), sending a welcome e-mail to the customer, notifying the salesperson. Setup time: 20 minutes.
3. Invoice → accounting system
Trigger: A new invoice in Fakturoid or Money S3. Action: Writing it into Google Sheets, sending it to the client, archiving it in Drive. Eliminates manual re-typing of data.
4. Customer review → reporting
Trigger: A new review on Heureka or Google Maps. Action: Recording it in a spreadsheet, notifying management for ratings below 3 stars, an automatic reply template to be completed.
5. Scheduled report
Trigger: Every day at 8:00. Action: Pulling data from several sources, compiling an overview and sending it by e-mail. The end of putting morning reports together by hand.
Where Make.com is not enough
